Royal Teas is situated in a great location, nestled away in one of Greenwich’s prettiest streets, away from the main hub. It has kept its intimate and cosy atmosphere and is an ideal place to hover over coffee and cake.
This is away off the main tourist drag in Greenwich, Royal Teas is a relaxed and cosy Vegetarian Cafe and Tea Room .
It gets crowded which is hardly surprising when the Cream Tea is such a steal at £5.95.
A round of generously filled and freshly made smoked salmon, cream cheese and cucumber sandwiches was followed by huge, warm scones with cream and strawberry jam, and then a fat slice from a choice of home made cakes.
The Hot Ginger Cake with cream was wonderful and my pot of English Breakfast – there are 14 varieties on offer – was good and strong.
A real treasure.
